Terms of service
Version 2026-10-09.2. These terms are the agreement between you and LatticeDDI, LLC for The Watchbill.
The service
The Watchbill is an informational check of targets you choose, plus a status page you may publish. It is not a promise that a target is up, that an alert will be sent, or that a check ran from a particular city.
What a check is not
Checks miss outages. The Watchbill is not the only alarm you should rely on. Do not use it for life-safety, emergency, medical, or industrial-control systems. LatticeDDI, LLC is not liable for a missed check, a late check, a false up, or a false down, except as the liability section below allows.
Your targets
You confirm that you are allowed to probe every target you add. You will not add a target you do not control or do not have permission to test.
The status page
A public status page is information you choose to show. You are responsible for what your clients are told about it. People who only view that page have no agreement with LatticeDDI, LLC. The page does not promise them that a site is up.
Accounts and plans
The free plan is 3 checks with email. The email plan is $4.99 per month for 25 checks with email. The MSP plan is $15 per month for 50 checks, with email, SMS, and priority support. A check is one target. We may suspend an account that probes targets without permission or that tries to disrupt the service.
Fees
Paid plans are billed in US dollars by Stripe, as a subscription, on the card or bank account you provide there. LatticeDDI, LLC does not store the card number. Sales tax is collected only when the Stripe checkout page shows it. Until then, the price on the plan is the price charged, and you remain responsible for taxes your own business owes. You can cancel in the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not refund a period that has already started.
Messages
You will send SMS only to numbers that have agreed to receive those messages. You will not enter a number that has not agreed.
Warranty
The Watchbill is provided as is and as available. LatticeDDI, LLC disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the extent the law allows.
Liability for negligence and fault
To the extent the law allows, the total liability of LatticeDDI, LLC, and of its members and contractors, for negligence, fault, mistakes, or any other claim arising out of The Watchbill is limited to the fees you paid to LatticeDDI, LLC for The Watchbill in the three months before the claim. LatticeDDI, LLC is not liable for lost profits, lost clients, lost data, or other consequential or indirect damages. This limit does not apply to fraud or intentional misconduct by LatticeDDI, LLC.
Law
Missouri law governs this agreement, without its conflict-of-law rules. Courts in the state of Missouri are the venue.
